Aerial Creation Course

Notification

Coronavirus update Term 1 suspended (Sept - Dec 2020)

About

Taught by industry professionals, the National Centre’s Aerial Creation Course is an opportunity to take your aerial skills to the next level and explore your performance potential.

During the eight-week course you will use movement as a creative stimulus, explore a variety of devising tools and use your pre-existing aerial technique to create and perform an act.

Although not compulsory, at the completion of the course participants will have the opportunity to perform to an audience at the ACC Scratch Show at the National Centre on the afternoon of 7 March 2020.

A professionally filmed copy of your act is offered as part of the course package. The course will focus on the following disciplines:

  • Silks
  • Rope
  • Aerial Hoop
  • Static Trapeze
  • Single Point Trapeze

Participants will select one of the above disciplines as their main skill, but will also have opportunities to work across all disciplines to help understand how your aerial knowledge is transferable. Participants can create an act as a solo, pair or a small group.
