Aerial Straps (Intermediate/advanced)
About
Aerial straps is a demanding but extremely rewarding discipline. With technique similar to that of gymnastic rings, the discipline combines strength and elegance, making for a highly dynamic and visually powerful effect.
This short course is an excellent opportunity to improve overall strength and to learn or advance your technique on aerial straps with a range of moves and transitions. You can expect to develop a fundamental understanding of the equipment in relation to your own body, while gaining knowledge in the discipline's basic and more advanced vocabulary.
Who it's for
Aerial Straps is suitable for those currently booked into one of our Level 2 or 3 Aerial or Acrobatic courses.
Those who have had prior experience training Aerial Straps or substantial experience training with their own body weight will also be able to participate.
If you have any questions about your suitability for this course, please contact participation@nationalcircus.org.uk
What to wear
General fitness attire including leggings and t-shirts are appropriate.
You are advised to bring with you a long sleeve t-shirt to cover areas which will be exposed to the straps, such as the wrists and elbows.
