What is your way into (and way out of) creation? How do you transition from your daily life to your creative state, and back? What practices do you use to calm your nerves pre-performance? How do you access your flow, and how do you navigate its depths?
In this two-day intensive workshop, you will discover how meditation can become an invaluable tool for performance creation, rehearsal, and devising processes. You will learn how to apply the power of thresholds and visualisation to your existing practice, how to access your most productive creative flow, calm your nervous system and regulate the amount of creative energy at your disposal.
Tessa and Viola will guide you through a series of meditation and embodiment practices that can support and enhance your creative output. By the end of the two days, you will have a set of tools to combine and personalise to help you access your best creative self, and make sure not to exhaust your creative juices in the process!
The workshop is open to all skill levels, and to any type of performing artists: circus performers, actors, dancers, performance artists…all are welcome! Bring comfortable clothes you can move in and pen and paper. Participants will receive worksheets and handouts for future reference, as well as a free short meditation recording.
