Youth Sensory Circus (12–15 year olds)
Who it's for
Sensory Circus is specifically designed for young people on the autism spectrum of all abilities. Youth Sensory Circus is for 12–15 year olds.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore circus skills in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
The programme has been developed in collaboration with young people with autism and Hackney Ark (a centre for children and young people with disability and special educational needs) and the Health Integration Team (a team of health professionals who work to improve access to leisure activities for children in Hackney with additional needs).
During the sessions we will offer a ‘quiet zone’, which will give the participants the option to leave the space at any time. They will have the opportunity to take part in an optional familiarisation session at our centre before the term commences.
