Ockham's Razor Workshop: Meaning and Movement
Ockham’s Razor, in partnership with Jacksons Lane, presents Meaning and Movement, a two-day circus/dance workshop.
The two-day workshop will explore techniques of partner work and lifting, the crossover between circus and dance, and playing with images within movement and how these can be read.  This workshop will be delivered by the Co-Artistic Director of Ockham’s Razor, Charlotte Mooney, together with Nathan Johnston, Associate Artist and choreographer of its latest shows, Tess and Collaborator.Â
The participants will work with Nathan to explore ways in and out of circus and dance lifts, looking at how to bridge and play with the moment when we move from floor to air. They will then work with Charlotte, to look at approaches to reading movement, ways to interpret movement from the body, and methods and approaches to draw out or adapt meaning. Â
