Act Creation and Development Workshops with LEAP
Workshops to take place on the 26th October at the Roundhouse in London.
Lydia Harper will run specialised workshops bringing all of her knowledge from working as Artistic Director of LEAP and Cirque du Soleil, and Associate Director for Tangled Feet, Silver Lining, Extraordinary Bodies and NCCA to deliver 2 bespoke Creative Workshops in Circus Act Creation and Development.
Workshop 1: Act Creation Fundamentals
This workshop is perfect if you are a recreational student working on a scratch night, a degree student or recent graduate or even a new Circus Artist and need some help getting started with a new act. It will involve exercises in starting points, musicality, storytelling, costuming and framing an act for an audience.
Workshop 2 : Existing Act Development
This will be a more specialised workshop, for only 4 participants with existing or work-in-progress acts. It will be a personalised deep dive into the essence of your act with a mix of 1-on-1 time and group work. This workshop would be great for anyone who already has an act they want to develop or is half way through an act creation.
