Walkabout Artists for Street Party

Sunday Streets Hoxton, part of the London Cycling Festival, is looking for two performers.

Full details:

A road closure on Sunday 25 May from 9am to 1pm on Hoxton street, Pitfield street, Coronet street and Hoxton Square to open the streets for safe cycling for families. The event will encourage people to participate in active travel, including cycling, wheeling, skating and walking and to use road closures to enhance accessibility and inclusivity, to support family cycling and those who would not normally cycle.

The event will also promote the change in use of streetscape, work with local businesses to assist in economic development and also to activate the street, with the aim of challenging car culture. We will engage the local community and businesses in the planning of the event and enable other sports and community activities to benefit from the temporarily closed roads.

The organizers of the event are looking for two performers who can do “unicycle, juggling, fire breathing or anything spectacular like this” between 11am-1pm approximately.
