CRECE 2026: Open Call For FEDEC Students
FEDEC is happy to offer its members the possibility to perform at CRECE 2026, led by the Carampa Circus School of Madrid.
Objective
- This call aims to select 8 to 12 artists (depending on distances and related travel expenses) to create a show together, which could include short forms (acts: 5-8 minutes) or medium-length pieces with multiple artists (10-15 minutes).
- The process is short but intense, with 10 days of creation leading to several public performances at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid.
- Artistic direction will be led this year by Marilén Ribot.
Participants & act requirements
- Participants must be current students in their final year or recent graduates (2021-2025) of one of FEDEC members.
- They must be available between the 24th of August and the 13th of September 2026.
- There are no limits on the character of the pieces; on the contrary, CRECE would like to include the wide variety of textures found in today’s contemporary circus expression.
Programming / Schedule
- August 24: Arrival in Madrid
- August 25 – September 9: Work sessions and creation period
- September 10-12: Shows at CIRCO PRICE
- September 13: Return home
The festival provides

- Meals
- Production
- No performance fee will be paid and the possibility of transporting large apparatus is limited.
Selection process
- In addition to each candidate’s circus technique, experience and/ or ease with improvisation with text and movement will be valued.
- There will be a video call meeting with the pre-selected candidates.
- After the selection, the artistic director will be in contact via video call with the selected candidates.

- Their circus school (must be member of FEDEC).
