Cyr Wheel Level 1
About
The Cyr wheel is an aluminium circle first adapted and developed as a circus act by Daniel Cyr in 1996.
In this beginners course we will look at the foundations of the main categories of movement with a Cyr Wheel: manipulation, spinning, and rolling.
Starting by learning to get used to the wheel’s weight and it’s natural movement and momentum. Learn variations of movement patterns, manipulating the wheel across different axis. Work on the prerequisites of the classic “waltz” pattern, and starting to spin within the wheel.
Participants should bring sport footwear (trainers) and wear shorts/trousers/legwear that you can squat in.
