About

Contact Improvisation is a practice and performance art in its own right and forms an integral role to all circus training. It builds coordination of movement with another body and the environment. In these classes, you will learn to control weight shifts and flow when moving together and solo. It is an acrobatic movement practice that involves rolls, inversions and touch. Contact Improvisation offers transferable skill to other acrobatic disciplines and builds a whole-body connectivity, strength and fluidity in motion.

Who it’s for

This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. The form adapts to a range of technical skills wherein, at every level, you are able to link a variety of moves together through a call and response scenario.

What to wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms, a T-shirt or vest, and clean indoor trainers.
