The First International New Acrobatic Theatre Festival in China (Zhangjiajie) will be held in Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, China from August 23-27, 2024. Led by China Acrobats Association and the Publicity Department of Zhangjiajie Municipal Party Committee and implemented by Hunan Performance Group, this event aims to build an international platform for the exchange and display of new acrobatics in order to help the creative transformation and innovative development of acrobatics. The event includes new acrobatic exchange performances, new acrobatic development forums, new acrobatic theatre promotion and new acrobatic creative workshops, etc. Currently, we are collecting repertoires for exchange and performance worldwide. Details are as follows:

1. Application time: from now until January 31, 2023
2. Repertoire requirements: novel form, positive content and skilful performance, new acrobatic drama       performance works are unlimited in theme, duration and number of participants.
3. Participants’ age: over 18 years old.
4. Application materials:
   • Introduction to the troupe and repertoire
   • Full version of a HD video or link
   • An electronic manuscript and stills of the repertoire graphic design
   • A list of creators and performers
   • Performance remuneration requirements
   • Requirements for performance venues, facilities and equipment
   • Props transportation requirements
   • An accommodation list

5. Material requirements:
   • For the manuscripts, please use any one of Chinese, English or French. If using other languages, please translate them by yourself.
   • Video format: MP4, AVI, MOV, MKV, FLV are available. If there is any language in the video, please provide subtitles in Chinese, English or French.
   • Please make sure that the video content is not less than 90% similar to the live performance. If there is any special situation, please state it in the submissions. The Organizing Committee will take it into consideration as appropriate.
   • Image format: JPG, JPEG. HD pictures: the resolution is not less than 300, with the size over 5MB.

After the collection, experts will be invited by the Organising Committee for screening. If your work is successfully selected, we will send an invitation notice to your reserved email address before March 1. We will bear the round-trip transportation, landing accommodation, visa, insurance expenses and corresponding performance remuneration for you (the team) to Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, China. We will issue a certificate of honour and cooperate to provide the relevant documents required for visa processing. We promise that the video you submitted will only be used for the selection of repertoires by the experts of the Organising Committee and the promotion of selected performance. It will not produce other commercial purposes.
