RIGGERS Multiplier Event Friday 31st March – 11am

National Centre for Circus Arts is proud to be hosting a RIGGERS project Multiplier Event for FEDEC – International network for professional circus education.

This event was organised by FEDEC in collaboration with NCCA.

This event is now finished.

Come and hear a short presentation by Lorenzo Alberio, on behalf FEDEC, about the RIGGERS project’s aims and how it is going about delivering them.

This will be followed by a showing of the first RIGGERS ‘FED-Talk’.  Created out of a collaboration between Matt Burch (NCCA) and Roshan Bhalotra (Codarts), it looks at dynamic forces found in circus and explains them in a simple way.

Finally, we will present an update on the Fit to Fly project originally launched just before COVID.  Fit to Fly is the outcome of a collaboration between Equity, the National Centre for Circus Arts, and a collection of rigging companies and freelance circus riggers.

It aims to provide performers working in small ‘clip-and-go’ venues, (cabaret venues and small theatres / festivals etc) as well as circus schools and training facilities, with information to help them assess the safety of that set up.

There will be an opportunity for discussion.

Attendees are invited to return after lunch to watch the Foundation Degree Students perform their devised pieces.
