Who it’s for

Sensory Circus is specifically designed to help autistic and neurodiverse children and young people develop their confidence, coordination and communication skills. Participants will have the opportunity to explore a range of circus activities including aerial, balance and manipulation in a safe and supportive environment. The programme can also serve as a pathway to the other courses on our youth programme, as all of our staff tailor their teaching to each child’s individual needs.

What to Expect

Circus skills will be adapted and geared to suit the participant’s needs. Once booked, we’ll ask you to complete an access audit. We can offer a familiarisation tour and/or information pack to help your child feel prepared and comfortable. A snack break and 1 or 2 short breaks will be included in the session.

If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re happy to chat. Please contact niki@nationalcircus.org.uk.

About the Programme

The Sensory Circus programme has been developed in collaboration with young autistic people, Hackney Ark (a centre for children and young people with disabilities and special educational needs) and the Health Integration Team (a team of health professionals who work to improve access to leisure activities for children in Hackney with additional needs).
