Get your Act together!

About

Ever wanted to create your own aerial act and needed the right environment to help you? Whether you want to develop an act that you can show friends and family at the end of the course or to take into professional contexts, you’ll be supported to create a piece of work you can call your own.

During the course you will start by working as a group using a range of devising techniques from theatre, physical theatre, dance, and circus, applying them to the Aerial equipment you are interested in exploring. We will then hone in on what you feel is working best for you, to decide on an approach to create your own individual act that expresses your vision.

Who it’s for

This course is suitable for you if you have successfully completed or have been signed off for a Level 2 or 3 Aerial course. If you have experience but haven’t trained with us before, please e-mail recreational@nationalcircus.org.uk to discuss joining this course.

What to wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms, a T-shirt or vest, and clean indoor trainers. For aerial classes, clothing that covers the limbs (like long sleeves and leggings) is advised.

Course information

This course would not be suitable for anyone at our beginner level. If you are not signed off by our teachers to take part in classes at Level 2 or 3, you will not be able to take part.
